Operations and Maintenance
Engineering Services
Provides design specifications review of electrical and
mechanical systems for new projects, renovations and new
equipment installation. Assists shops concerning technical
operation and trouble shooting of equipment.
Task Labor
Provides construction service for room renovation.
HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air
Conditioning/Refrigeration)
Provides maintenance and repair on all heating, ventilation,
air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Electrical Services
Maintains electric service from where it enters the building
at 13,400 volts to each and every receptacle at 120 volts.
Maintains emergency generators, fire alarm systems, and other
life support systems.
Environmental Control Center (ECC)
Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week monitoring and control of all boilers,
chillers, air handling systems, life support systems, and
elevators. Provides minor services for the above equipment.
Carpentry
Provides all woodworking repairs and glass replacement.
Paint/Masonry
Provides all maintenance painting and masonry repairs.
Mechanical/Fabrication
Provides repair for all metal equipment, welding service, and
fabrication of new metal equipment.
Plumbing
Maintains water service from where it enters the building to
each and every faucet in the building. Maintains medical and
laboratory gas and vacuum systems and other piping systems
throughout the campus.
Minor Services
Provides installation of small jobs such as hanging pictures,
etc.
Energy Conservation
Oversees the consumption of electricity, natural gas, fuel
oil and water for the campus. Deals with the utility companies
concerning energy rates and funding for energy conservation
projects.
Quality Assurance
Oversees existing and new construction for code compliance.
Plant Safety
Works with the State and the Unions to provide a safe working
environment for all employees.
